computer literacy or lunacy

I am trying to edit my blog and finding a great deal of trouble with removing spam comments without trash cans. There are several sites that give advice but unless one is computer literate there is no way to understand it...so I have several comments on my past blogs that I cannot remove. I now have added the comment moderation mode where I check the comments and delete them before they get on my blog, but no way to remove the past ones, what a bummer. From the sites I've been to, I'm not the only one with the problem.

I took a course at the Montrose Christian Writer's Conference that dealt with blogging and over the next few weeks I hope to incorporate some of the things I learned from Jim Willis, but today I've already spent a good amount of time just with the comment removal without success and so I'm giving up for today.
